01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Milan at Via Guido D'Arezzo, Café Caterina offers more than just a spot to grab your morning coffee – it’s a genuine slice of Italian charm that effortlessly blends inviting ambiance with standout culinary delights. This delightful café welcomes you into a warm, cozy setting where the aroma of freshly brewed espresso mingles with the scent of buttery pastries, setting the perfect tone for your day.

Although Café Caterina’s menu spans a variety of breakfast treats, it is their pistachio croissants that have clearly won the hearts of many, as Hendrik Heine fondly recalls. The croissants are flaky, luscious, and generously filled, delivering an irresistible balance of nutty richness and delicate sweetness. Pairing these with an expertly crafted cappuccino or a spritz, as recommended by customer Leah Hides, turns an ordinary moment into an indulgent Italian ritual.

The café’s attention to detail extends beyond its food and drink. Guests consistently highlight the warm and attentive service, notably the friendly staff members like Leo and Luca, who make everyone feel at home with their genuine smiles and excellent English. Kathy Woods’ experience perfectly encapsulates this spirit, describing the café as "the most beautiful start to the day," where every visit feels uniquely personal and heartwarming.

Whether you’re seeking a quiet refuge to savor Milanese mornings or a welcoming place to socialize over olives, chips, and refreshing drinks, Café Caterina strikes the perfect balance between vibrant energy and intimate comfort. Stephanie Loo’s praise for the brioche sandwiches and delightful pastries confirms this spot as a true hidden gem, one that beckons you back time and time again.

For anyone visiting Milan, Café Caterina isn’t just a café; it’s an experience – a heartfelt embrace of Italian culinary tradition paired with genuine hospitality. Its inviting atmosphere and consistently exceptional offerings make it a must-visit destination to start your day on a delicious and authentic note.

This Café, oh gosh, was simply amazing. The chef serving us was more than polite and debonair. We were a group of 4 having a simple coffee, which turned into an amazing experience. Thank you!
